전 세계의 장인들과 사랑 가득한 만들기 여정을 담은 <콤파니: 월드 어페어> 전시의 마지막을 위해 콤파니는 사람들과 자신의 소중한 물건에 대해 이야기하고 그림으로 기록했습니다. 전시장의 루프탑 공간에 설치한 하얀 주머니를 단 자신들의 조형물에 달았고, 흰 옷을 입고 온 참여자들과 함께 물건에 깃든 정신을 담아 달고 전시장을 행진했습니다. 옥상에서 도착해서는 다함께 날개짓하며 마음을 보냈지요.홈그라운드는 즐겁고 사랑스러운 이 의식의 마무리를 위해 나눌 음식을 함께 모의했습니다.마무리 의식에서 식사의 시작으로 전통주로 만든 칵테일을 내었습니다.한국의 미나리와 쌀, 페루의 감자, 멕시코의 할라피뇨, 파키스탄의 핑크솔트, 인도의 가지, 핀란드의 버섯을 모두 소스의 고명으로 만들어 지구 주먹밥을 만들었습니다. 집 앞 감나무에서 딴 잎으로 감싸고요.러시아와 한국이 같이 먹는 명태로 러시아 북엇국도 끓여 곁들였습니다.입가심으로는 껍질을 잘 벗긴 청무화과를 내었습니다.홈그라운드의 구성원들이 전시장의 마지막층에서 물건을 가득 쌓아 두고 파는 상인들처럼 소쿠리와 쟁반에 음식을 잔뜩 쌓아 돌아다니며 나누었습니다.콤파니는 러시아 스웨덴 멕시코 한국의 술도 곁들여 소개하며 감사의 마음을 모두와 나눴습니다.마음이 따뜻해지는 마지막 의식에 참여하게 되어 기뻤습니다. 의뢰: 피크닉 피크닉 piknic , 콤파니 Company준비와 진행: 홈그라운드 이다은 곽은선 박소연 | 바텐딩: 콤파니의 협력자 윌렘사진: 참여하고 함께하신 여러분 [September 5, 2026 at Piknic: Ceremonial Food Catering for the Closing Ceremony of <COMPANY: World Affair>]There is only one day left for the exhibition <COMPANY: World affair>, which captures a loving journey of creation alongside artisans from all around the globe. To mark the end of this journey, COMPANY invited people to talk about their most cherished belongings and recorded them through drawings. They attached these memories to white-pouched sculptures set up on the rooftop space, and together with participants dressed in white, they paraded through the gallery—carrying the spirit embedded in each object. Reaching the rooftop, everyone flapped their arms like wings, sending out their warmest thoughts together. To bring this joyful and lovely ritual to a beautiful close, Homeground came together to brainstorm and curate the food to share.To transition from the closing ceremony to the meal, we served a welcome cocktail made with traditional Korean liquor. We crafted "Earth Rice Balls" featuring a sauce garnished with ingredients representing different corners of the world: water parsley and rice from Korea, potatoes from Peru, jalapeños from Mexico, pink salt from Pakistan, eggplants from India, and mushrooms from Finland. Each rice ball was lovingly wrapped in a leaf picked from the persimmon tree right outside our front door.We also paired them with a Russian pollack soup (bukeotguk). For dessert, we served neatly peeled green figs to refresh the palate. Like market vendors piling their goods high on the top floor of the gallery, the Homeground team carried generous loads of food on bamboo baskets and trays, moving through the crowd to share with everyone. COMPANY joined in expressing their gratitude by introducing a selection of spirits from Russia, Sweden, Mexico, and Korea to accompany the meal.
